thankful for: being held. raw and passionate love. unbearable love. crying. a family that is full of light. kisses on the cheek like safety and kindness. a bed that i can come home to. my body that still encourages me to run and stretch even after i have swallowed hell and forbade myself from digestion. experiencing embrace. what that means. the ability to be sad. every time i laugh. the music i am able to make and learn about. my friends. feminism. activism. unrelenting support. long grass going places in the wind but managing to stay right there. ice cream cones for less than $2. the fucking sun. learning to say no. cutting off toxicity and poison with a hatchet. all the pain that taught me that it was important to never allow it again. treating myself correctly. being loved with whole hearts. loving with my whole body. fighting against what my mind makes me feel about myself. combatting the desire to hurt my home. feeling shapes in the heart of my hand. puppies and dogs. pets that keep you company. anger and rage and queer-friendly space. brothers and sisters. the adamant fight against everything that is wrong with this country. all the love, love, love.
